A new New York Times/CBS News poll finds President Obama holds a narrow three-point advantage over Mitt Romney among most likely voter, 49% to 46%.
“Mr. Obama has an advantage among likely voters of 12 percentage points among women, the poll found, while Mr. Romney holds the upper hand among men by 8 percentage points. Mr. Obama leads his Republican rival across all ages of voters, except those who are 65 or older, who favor Mr. Romney by 15 percentage points.”
Meanwhile, a Reuters/Ipsos poll of likely voters shows Obama widening his lead to seven points, 48% to 41%, and the latest Gallup tracking poll shows Obama ahead by six points, 50% to 44%.
