Fadumo Yusuf (R) will challenge Minnesota state Senate President Michelle Fischbach (R) in a Republican primary, “despite acknowledging she didn’t intend to run for the office,” the St. Cloud Times reports.

She had intended to run against Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN).

Yusuf tried to withdraw her state Senate candidacy, but she was about 15 minutes too late in her attempt to do so.
