Wednesday night, as the sun was setting on Occupied Wall Street, word began to spread that one of the most visionary leaders since Biblical times had passed.
Yes, Sarah Palin, the former beauty queen/half-term governor/literary inspiration, had announced her decision to forgo running for president in favor of reloading her bank account.
Within minutes, Palin’s Facebook page had been transformed into a sort of makeshift memorial where fanboys and fangirls gathered to share their grief.
But before their tear-soaked pixels even had a chance to dry, news of the death of Steve Jobs engulfed the internet, and Sarah was relegated to a footnote.
