Shortly after 6 pm central tonight, the online ads we are running in two Wisconsin state senate districts passed 4,000,000 page views. That is an extremely impressive total, given that the ads have been running for only three days and that the combined population of the two districts is only around 350,000.

You can see examples of the ads at the top of this article. The ads are running in the districts held by Republicans Randy Hopper and Luther Olsen. Those two districts were chosen because the most recent polling showed Democrats with a narrow lead in both. If Democrats hold onto those two leads, then they will take control of the Wisconsin state Senate and win this round of the recall campaign.

There is one problem: the ads are proving to be more expensive than we had anticipated. Today alone, the cost has been $ 10,885.63, and the day is far from done. In order to make sure that we can keep blanketing both districts with ads all the way through Election Day, we are going to need to increase our budget.
