This video presents a summary of my flight with Avianca between El Nuevo Dorado International Airport in Bogotá and Rafael Núñez International Airport in Cartagena on the Caribbean coast of Colombia. The aircraft was a McDonnell Douglas MD-83. Avianca is Colombia’s national airline and while I have heard people complain about poor service and late flights with Avianca, I personally have found them to be reasonably pleasant to fly with. @BigCatDiary100 No, there was no inflight entertainment, but it was only a 1 hour domestic flight so one doesn’t really need TV on such a short flight. I do believe that Avianca have individual inflight entertainment units on some of their longer international flights.

When flying to Colombia I always take Avianca , service excellent , friendly and the food is good. Also you already get the atmosphere of Colombia onboard. I recommend if anyone likes to fly to Bogota, take Avianca , it’s safe and friendly.

Avianca es una aerolinia muy buena, y el servicion es muy bueno y las asafatas son muy queridas, e volado con varias aerolinias y Avianca es muy agradable, especial mente que puedo tomar Manzana Postobon o Colombiana. Te estraño Colombia y espero poder verte el año que viene.

@alitaliaboy grazie! Yes the condition of the plane was very good considering it was 26 years old. I have been in newer aircraft that were in much worse condition.
